Who We Are

I provide hickory nut kernel and milkings, tree crop seed, seedlings, grafted plants, field grafting services, and consulting. Email or call to make a request. See our Variety List for more on what we offer.

I focus on selection, breeding, research, and development of Shagbark hybrids with Yellowbud and other hickory species, American Persimmon, and Honey Locust. I also can propagate Black Walnut.

I am willing to ship plants to any state touching WI. Will provide scion outside to breeders. I only specialize in plants suited zone 4a to zone 5a for upper midwest.

Nursery Schedule

• Spring Bare-root Digging (March 15th to April 10th) - Spring is the only time i transplant
• Annual Seed Sharing (Dec 1st to March 1st) - Come and snag some staple annual seeds
• Custom Graft Requests Due (Jan 1st) - Email by this date to ensure we collect grafting scion for spring grafting.
• Custom Grafting (May 10th to June 5th) - I will graft your estabilished trees which will reduce transplant shock. Hickory only with 10 or more trees. $40/hour plus driving
• Consulting - I offer in-person and over the phone design services and advice about your specific farm or processing facility. Email to schedule. $40/hour plus driving
